A prime example is cardiology and radiology. Radiologists are now able to perform such high reimbursement procedures as cardiac CTA as well as interventional cardiac procedures less invasively. Conversely, it is not uncommon for cardiologists to obtain their own imaging equipment to handle these types of procedures.
