James H. Thrall, MD
Radiologist-in-Chief at Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Thrall was appointed to Radiologist-in-Chief at the Massachusetts General Hospital in 1988 and, at the same time, is the first person to hold the Juan M. Taveras Professorship of Radiology at the Harvard Medical School. He continues these appointments today and serves on the Executive Committee of the Harvard Departments of Radiology. Dr. Thrall has worked extensively on the development of telemedicine systems and chairs the International Medicine Committee of the Massachusetts General Hospital. He has co-founded two companies in partnership with MGH to provide teleradiology and telemedicine services.

Giles Boland, MD
Vice Chairman of Radiology, Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Boland’s areas of specialty include PACS, Teleradiology, Voice Recognition, RIS, and the enterprise digital solution to PACS and RIS integration. He has conducted approximately 40 presentations in over 15 countries on these topics. As a practicing radiologist, his interests lie in Abdominal Imaging and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Boland is an Advisor to the World Health Organization, Geneva Switzerland and a reviewer for multiple scientific journals including New England Journal of Medicine, Radiographics, American Journal of Roentgenology and Journal of Intensive Care Medicine.

Keith J. Dreyer, DO, PhD
For over 20 years Dr. Dreyer has been a leading expert on PACS. Dr. Dreyer brings significant expertise to the RCG, focused on Internet based medical image distribution, voice recognition, electronic medical records, and Internet/CD-ROM based medical education. As the Vice Chairman of Radiology Informatics and the Corporate Director of Medical Imaging, Dr. Dreyer has lead Massachusetts General Hospital through numerous digital imaging initiatives. Additionally, Dr. Dreyer is widely published and serves as a clinical and technical advisor for several major medical imaging companies.
Dr. Dreyer's accomplishments are extensive and include: PACS installation at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, image distribution solution for Partners HealthCare System, and the creation of the MGH Advanced Imaging Laboratory.

Daniel I. Rosenthal, MD, FACR
Vice Chair and Professor of Radiology, Associate Radiologist-in-Chief, Director, Skeletal Radiology, Massachusetts General Hospital, Dr. Rosenthal‘s professional and research interests have focused on his interest in disease of the skeleton and locomotor system. He has also been involved in the development of new therapeutic treatments for osteoid osteomas, as well as Gaucher’s disease. Recently, he has helped the department become one of the pioneers in digital imaging and teleradiology. He is a dedicated and highly regarded teacher and was recognized by the Laurence L. Robbins Teaching Award.

Sanjay Saini, MD
Dr. Sanjay Saini is a Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and the Vice Chairman for Finance in the Department of Radiology at the Massachusetts General Hospital where he practices abdominal radiology with an academic focus on liver imaging with CT and MR. From 2004 to 2006 he served as the Timmie Professor and Chairman of Radiology at Emory University. He is an author or coauthor of more than 300 peer-reviewed publications and three books and has lectured extensively around the world. Dr. Saini received his BA from Duke University, an MD from Tufts University School of Medicine, an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT, and an MSc (Hon) from Harvard University. His radiology residency and fellowships were completed at the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Jae W. Lee, MBA
Administrative Director of Radiology, Massachusetts General Hospital, Mr. Lee is responsible for the day-to-day operations and strategic management of Radiology, the second largest department at MGH which has over 500 physicians and staff and is responsible for over 650,000 patient exams annually. Mr. Lee holds an MBA from Boston University.

Sarah Bochenek
As the project manager for the Radiology Consulting Group, Ms. Bochenek's responsibilities include data analysis, client relationship building, process improvement, management of client engagements, leadership of internal project teams, and ensuring consulting deliverables are completed on time and of high quality. Ms. Bochenek received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stonehill College.

Karen Lemaire, MHA - Director
As the Managing Director of the Radiology Consulting Group, Ms. Lemaire's responsibilities include strategic direction and overall management of the RCG. Ms. Lemaire is a results oriented leader responsible for strategic planning, operational improvement, quality service, and business development. She is a seasoned professional with several years of experience space planning, negotiating contracts, purchasing capital equipment, hiring key personnel and managing multiple imaging centers in the for- profit and academic health care environments. Ms. Lemaire comes from a management and marketing background. She received a Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Simmons College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rochester.

Alan Schweitzer, MEE
Title: Sr. Project Manager
Areas of expertise include the planning, procurement, vendor selection, and implementation of PACS, Radiology Information Systems, and enterprise medical imaging solutions. Mr. Schweitzer has over 25 years of experience in the field of medical imaging and has assisted more than 50 clients worldwide with a variety of imaging-related information technology initiatives. Mr. Schweitzer has presented at the AHRA, SIIMS, and HIMSS conferences, as well as publishing several articles in the area of speech recognition, storage strategies and PACS vendor evaluations. Also, Mr. Schweitzer is a contributing author to PACS, A Guide to the Digital Revolution. He holds a Masters of Electrical Engineering Degree from Cornell University.

Alexander Ding, MD, MS
Alexander Ding, MD, MS, is the chief fellow in Abdominal Imaging and Interventional Radiology at Massachusetts General Hospital and a clinical fellow at Harvard Medical School. In addition to his clinical work as a radiologist, Dr. Ding has advised multiple organizations at a board-level, including at the American Medical Association, Massachusetts Medical Society, Physicians Insurance Agency of Massachusetts, and The New England Journal of Medicine.
Dr. Ding has testified before government panels on behalf of physicians and patients and has published peer-reviewed research articles on health policy. Prior to his tenure at MGH, he was a key staffer in forming a Global Consortium for Tobacco Cessation at the World Health Organization.
Dr. Ding earned his bachelors degree in economics and public health masters from the University of California, Berkeley and attended medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. Prior to medicine, he worked in finance at Goldman Sachs and in economic research with The Economist Intelligence Unit.

Raymond Liu, MD
Dr. Raymond Liu is an Assistant Radiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital. As an interventional radiologist, his areas of excellence have been in the fields of image guided oncological treatments, along with pediatric interventions and vascular malformations. Dr. Liu's research interests are in the areas of operational efficiency, health care delivery systems, and marketing strategies. Dr. Liu's is a former health care consultant with McKinsey & Company, with strategic expertise in payor/provider, biotechnology, and device industries. Dr. Liu received an A.B. cum laude from Harvard College, and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School.

Christy Palma, MBA, RDMS
As director of Imaging and Cardiology at Mass General/ North Shore Center for Outpatient Care, Christy Palma's focus is strategic direction, operational improvement, business development, workflow redesign, and quality assurance. Ms. Palma is well versed in collaborative efforts between large institutions including negotiations, operations, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance. Ms. Palma's expertise in radiology expands from a clinical perspective as an ultrasound technologist, to strategic vision as a clinical director. Ms. Palma has also been an entrepreneur prior to her position at MGH and founded an imaging consulting company providing Ultrasound staffing/placement services. She received a Master's in Business from Elon University and a Bachelors in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from Rochester Institute of Technology.
